Mission Statement

The mission is to generate information uniquely capable of helping to reduce the number of motor vehicle accidents that occur in the United States and beyond. A second critical mission will then be to use the media (and this web site) to educate the public about what they can do (or not do) to stay safe on the roads, as well as influence the direction of public policy regarding traffic safety interventions.

Description

The National Study Center for Trauma and EMS at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is asking licensed drivers to join an online study that will shed light on the risks of a motor vehicle accident. The study focuses on a wide range of human factors that may prevent our ability to avoid an imminent collision.
