Mission Statement

Our mission is to ensure the equitable resolution of employment disputes in state government agencies. As mandated by Virginia law, we: 1) administer the employee grievance procedure; 2) independently hear and decide employee grievances; 3) provide a statewide workplace mediation program, and; 4) offer related training and consultation for state employees and agency managers.
