Mission Statement

The mission of AHC Inc is twofold: 1. To preserve and increase the supply of affordable housing for low and moderate income families and individuals living in the Washington Metropolitan area and 2. To ensure that apartment complexes and single family homes developed or owned by AHC Inc enhance the quality of life in the neighborhood where they are located.

Description

Founded in 1975, AHC's purpose is to secure safe, sound, affordable housing for all our neighbors. To this end, we develop and manage affordable rental housing; provide property management and maintenance; provide home ownership opportunities for low and moderate income families; provide housing rehabilitation services; advocate housing policies that serve the needs of disadvantaged people; ad coordinate social services, through our Resident Services Division, to improve the quality of our residents lives and to encourage self-sufficiency.
