Mission Statement

Our mission is for teens who haven't succeeded in traditional schools to realize their dreams of enrolling in college or embarking on a career, through a comprehensive set of programs and activities. Our goals are to help our participants:(1) improve their academic performance and earn a high school diploma;(2) earn money and gain work experience through our internship program;(3) become politically educated adults who are confident of their abilities to change the institutions that affect their lives.

Description

The See Forever Foundation operates a comprehensive program for DC youth who haven't succeeded in traditional public schools. See Forever teens take part in our activities year round, for up to 10.5 hours per day during the traditional school year, and for 6 to 8 hours per day during the summer. They attend classes, work part-time through our internship program, and participate in activities ranging from internships to summer programs to team-building exercises. We provide significant on-site mental health support, including group therapy and a life skills class for all students, and individual counseling for those students for whom it is appropriate.
