Mission Statement

The mission of Health First Africa (HFA) is to inform the people of Arkansas about the devastating impact HIV/AIDS, malaria and water borne diseases have on the people of Besongabang, Cameroon, West Africa, and to solicit their financial and material support to fund comprehensive programs that promote well-being, empowerment, and stability across Besongabang and surrounding communities.

Description

Health First Africa is a nonprofit organization in Arkansas that strives to bring attention to the the sub-standard (lack of basic and primary) healthcare to thousands of people in Besongabang and surrounding communities in Cameroon, West Africa. HFA will do the following to achieve its set goals and objectives:

  1. Organize fundraising activities to support HFA's mission
  2. Conduct membership/volunteer drives (capacity building) to strengthen organization
  3. Solicit supplies (medical and otherwise) to support the Besongabang Health Centre
  4. Recruit and maintain a steady medical volunteer corps that can be mobilize easily for bi-annual trips to the region to provided highly needed professional medical care
