About ADP We serve wonderful senior clients who have dementia and/or Alzheimer’s so they can enjoy a sense of community and their family caregivers can receive respite from caregiving. We provide socialization, games, art, exercise, garden walks, and other great activities. Most importantly- we like to make people feel welcome, respected and loved. We also serve lunch to our clients. As an added volunteer bonus, we welcome our volunteers to join us for a (free) group lunch with the clients and staff as part of your volunteer shift. We consider this an opportunity to build community and break bread together - it’s fun! (The food is pretty good, too, and dessert is often included!) Volunteer Shifts We request that each volunteer is available for a minimum of two hours per shift. Because we are a new program and growing by the day, currently the busiest days when we most benefit from volunteers include, (note: For any given day, you only need to volunteer for two hours, or more if you would like): Tuesdays: 9:00 am - 3 pm Thursdays: 9:00 am - 3 pm Saturday Club: 9:30 am - 3 pm (held on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of each month and our busiest program of the week) If you are interested in volunteering at ADP, please contact Dina Jacopi, our ADP Volunteer Coordinator, by email at: djacopi@yolocares.org, or by phone at (530) 341-6031. Dina can answer any questions you may have and provide you with volunteer shifts to consider.
