As a Facility Activities Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in bringing comfort, happiness, and companionship to those who need it most. Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept: * Work alongside our caring team to plan and lead engaging activities and events tailored to the unique needs of seniors in memory care. * Be a ray of sunshine in our residents' lives, offering companionship, encouragement, and a listening ear. * Help set up and create inviting spaces for activities, ensuring safety and comfort for our seniors. * Support our activity leaders and volunteers in delivering meaningful experiences that spark memories and foster connections. * Assist with organizing supplies, keeping track of inventory, and ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes. Galileo Place, our vibrant adult day program, is seeking compassionate volunteers to lead art and music classes for our wonderful community of seniors. Thanks to the generous support of the Thomas P Raley Foundation, we have the opportunity to expand our creative program and bring more joy to the lives of our seniors. Volunteer Opportunities: Art Class Leaders: Inspire creativity and self-expression through engaging art sessions. Music Class Leaders: Share the joy of music and create memorable moments with our seniors. Ranging from direct patient volunteering through our hospice and palliative program, to administrative volunteering, even including delivery volunteering. YoloCares is an active member of the National Partnership for Hospice Innovation and is recognized as a regional leader in end-of-life care. YoloCares offers a wide variety of supportive care services, from an enriching adult day facility to The Joint Commission-accredited hospice and palliative care programs.
YoloCares is a member of the California Hospice Network, a group of like-minded nonprofit hospice agencies dedicated to improving the quality of, and expanding access to, end-of-life services for individuals and families of all backgrounds.
