Mission Statement

The mission of The Joyce Theater is to serve and support the art of dance and choreography, to promote the richness and variety of the art form in its fullest expression, and to advance the public interest in, and appreciation of, dance and the allied arts of music, design, and theater.

Description

The Joyce has two facilities devoted to dance. The main theater located in Chelsea offers 48 weeks of performances by a range of New York City-based, national, and international dance companies. Joyce SoHo offers three studios for rehearsal and performance at highly subsidized rates to dance artists.
