Mission Statement

The United States Tennis Association, Northern California Section (USTA Northern California) is located in Alameda, California. We are a not-for-profit volunteer-based organization with approximately 35,000 adult members, 9,000 junior members and almost 700 organization members. USTA Northern California is one of the 17 sections of the United States Tennis Association, the governing body of tennis in America.

As one of the larger geographic sections, USTA Northern California has been promoting, servicing, and administering tennis programs since 1953. With our volunteers and staff USTA Northern California is devoted to promoting and developing the growth of tennis in Northern California and Northwest Nevada.

USTA Northern California gratefully acknowledges the outstanding contributions made by all our volunteers. We are always needing the help and skills of tennis enthusiasts.

Description

The VolleySquad team was created to support the USTA NorCal Section’s commitment to enhance and enrich USTA NorCal programs and services through increased volunteerism. The program is designed to recruit, place, train, supervise, record, evaluate and recognize our most valuable assets, our volunteers.

Most VolleySquad members are USTA members. Some are not. But what these individuals do have on common is that they either play, watch, support, and/or enjoy the game of tennis and they take that passion and channel into helping out at pro level tournaments like of Bank of the West Tennis Classic, the SAP Open and the Sacramento Capitals. They also lend a hand at community festivals, special events and any other event designed to attract others to the sport of tennis.
