Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
Brookhaven Hospice’s mission is to provide/improve the dignity and quality of life through death and beyond with compassion, passion and commitment.
Focus of care is directed toward patient goals for the remainder of life and is adjusted and refocused as the condition of the patient changes.
Nurses, social workers, home health aides, volunteers, bereavement counselors, chaplains, hospice physicians and management of Brookhaven Hospice provide a dynamic, holistic interdisciplinary team to serve the patient, family, care giver and significant other which is recognized as the "unit of care."
The Brookhaven Hospice team will continuously strive to meet and exceed the unique and very individualized spiritual, emotional and physical needs of the "patient/unit of care" during the dying process, continuing through the bereavement (thirteen month) period that follows the death of the patient.
Brookhaven Hospice of New Hampshire is in its infancy. We have just opened our New Hampshire office and need volunteers to visit with our terminally ill patients. Training is provided, as well as support.
