Mission Statement

Girl Scouts of the USA was founded on March 12, 1912, by Juliette Gordon Low, who brought girls together with the purpose of helping them develop a sense of responsibility, commit themselves to the highest ideals, and foster teamwork so they could learn to support one another. Today, Girl Scouts continues to be the preeminent organization for girls between the ages of five and 17 and has more than 3.4 million girl and adult members nationwide. Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

Girl Scouts - North Carolina Coastal Pines serves more than 32,000 girl members and more than 10,000 adult members in 41 central and eastern North Carolina counties.

Our counties are Beaufort, Bladen, Brunswick, Carteret, Chatham, Columbus, Craven, Cumberland, Duplin, Durham, Edgecombe, Franklin, Granville, Greene, Halifax, Harnett, Hoke, Johnston, Jones, Lee, Lenoir, Martin, Moore, Nash, New Hanover, Northampton, Onslow, Orange, Pamlico, Pender, Person, Pitt, Richmond, Robeson, Sampson, Scotland, Vance, Wake, Warren, Wayne, and Wilson.
