The Mission of the Traffic Improvement Association is to facilitate Engineering, Education and Enforcment programs that reduce human and economic losses caused by traffic crashes.

Description

The Traffic Improvement Association of Oakland County was formed in 1967 and played an instrumental role in lowering the fatality rate from one of the highest in the nation at that time to one of the lowest in the world presently. The TIA works with local communites, their law enforcment personnel, educators, engineers and the Road Commission - all in an effort to make the roadways safer for residents, business owners, their employees and all transients that drive on our roads.
