Mission Statement

Fast Friends was founded in 1992 in West Swanzey, New Hampshire. We are a state-licensed animal shelter and non-profit organization. We are dedicated to educating the public about the plight of racing greyhounds and finding responsible, loving homes for greyhounds in need that have failed to qualify at racetracks throughout the country. Fast Friends is actively involved with Community Outreach. We offer education and training to the public, community groups and other animal welfare organizations. We believe that enriching the lives of those in our community; both humans and animals is an essential part of our mission.

Description

Fast Friends serves as a temporary home for 50 greyhounds, on average, while they wait to find forever homes. We provide emergency medical treatment and ongoing medical care for all of the greyhounds that come through our doors. As a non-profit, we rely heavily on volunteers to help with the care, exercising and socializing of the greyhounds to enhance their overall well being and prepare them for their new lives as companion pets.
