Access to Prevention, Advocacy, Intervention, and Treatment (APAIT) is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit. Our mission is to positively impact the quality of life for vulnerable communities experiencing behavioral health challenges, housing insecurity, justice-involved, and at-risk for HIV/AIDS and sexual health issues. Join our team as a Communications & Administrative Volunteer and contribute to our organization's mission by supporting our communications and operations initiatives. This opportunity is perfect for individuals passionate about community engagement, event planning, and organizational coordination. You will work closely with our Communications and Program Relations Coordinator, Human Relations Manager, and Director of Housing Programs. Responsibilities Include: Create engaging and relevant social media posts to promote events, programs, and organizational updates. Collaborate with the Coordinator to develop a social media content calendar and maintain consistent posting schedules. Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of events, including logistics, venue coordination, and participant communication. (Fashion Show, Pride..ect) Help prepare event materials such as invitations, agendas, and promotional materials. Contribute content for newsletters, including program highlights, success stories, upcoming events, and organizational updates. Assist with administrative tasks at the front desk, such as sorting mail, managing deliveries, and maintaining office supplies. Assist with general office management duties, including filing, photocopying, and organizing documents. Qualifications Great communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in social media platforms and basic graphic design principles. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace. Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required. Requirements: Must be able to volunteer at least three hours weekly or biweekly.
