Mission Statement

Peace Corps was founded in 1961 by President Kennedy to build cross-cultural friendships and exchange skills, to help the people of developing countries meet their need for trained men and women, to help promote a better understanding of Americans on the part of the peoples served, and to help promote a better understanding of other peoples on the part of Americans.

Description

Peace Corps is an international development organization which sends 3,500 Peace Corps Volunteers of all ages to more than 70 countries worldwide every year to work in the areas of education, community and youth development, environmental education, public health, agriculture, and business development. All assignments are three months of training followed by two years of service. We cover living/travel/health expenses.
