Mission Statement

New Mexico Child Advocacy Networks (NMCAN) is a visionary champion for New Mexico's most vulnerable children and youth.

Description

Since 1990, NMCAN has been leveraging community partnerships and volunteerism to improve the experience of foster care for children and youth across the state and their transition to adulthood. Authentic youth engagement is the cornerstone of our work. Through our initiatives, young people learn how to manage daily responsibilities, connect with mentors, build positive peer networks, and access tools to achieve goals related to education, employment, health, housing, and personal finance as well as strengthen their sense of belonging.

Get involved to help lead positive change for the more than 2,000 children and youth in foster care.
