Description

The Hanover County Department of Community Resources serves as a clearinghouse for volunteer efforts among agencies, citizens, and the community at large; provides training and technical assistance on volunteerism and community issues; promotes increased public awareness of volunteer efforts and accomplishments, volunteer opportunities, community needs, community services and resources; manages special programs including Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA), Winterization, Volunteer Home Repair Referral Project, and Hanover Youth Service Council. The department also houses the Hanover Comprehensives Services Act office.
