Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
The mission of The Morton Arboretum is to collect and study trees, shrubs, and other plants from around the world, to display them across naturally beautiful landscapes for people to study and enjoy, and to learn how to grow them in ways that enhance our environment. Our goal is to encourage the planting and conservation of trees and other plants for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world.
The Morton Arboretum is an outdoor museum that ranks among the leading arboretums in the world in size, age, quality of its specimens, and in its programs in Education, Plant Collections, and Research. Its 1700 acres contain 12 miles of hiking trails and 11 miles of paved roads. Lakes, a 100 acre prairie, woodlands, streams, gardens, and spectacular natural landscapes make this a popular destination for families, students, and groups. 400,000 visitors each year; more than 800 volunteers; 18,000 members; 28,000 Education program participants. Open every day of the year.
