Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2023 Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball! The American Cancer Society relies heavily on the support of our outstanding volunteers like yourself! You help make this event a success and our mission possible. Volunteers must attend virtual volunteer training - TBD Each position will have a specific Volunteer Captain (ACS Staff) assigned to assist with questions/issues. If you are feeling unwell in the days leading up to the Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball, we discourage you from volunteering for this indoor event. Must come ready to have a great time for a great cause!!! Volunteers are provided laptops that will check-in guests upon arrival (for the main event at 6:00pm) using our event software called OneCause. A detailed overview of the registration process will be provided to volunteers, as well as covered in the volunteer orientation - TBD Shift 1 - 4pm to 8:00pm on Saturday September 9 This shift will mainly be assisting guests with getting checked in and making sure their payment methods are loaded into Bidding Software. Shift 2 - 7:30pm to 11:30pm on Saturday September 9 This shift may assist with some check-in but will mainly be focused on the end of the event assisting with silent auction check-out

SILENT AUCTION VOLUNTEERS ( 20 Volunteers Total) This volunteer will help guests with mobile bidding, answer any questions about the auction items, ensure auction envelopes are in order and that items remain on the display tables until the auction closes. General Information Event Date: Saturday, September 9, 2023 Time: 10:00am - Setup Volunteers Arrival 4:00pm - Event Staff & Volunteers Arrival 5:00pm - VIP Guests Arrive 6:00pm - Guests Arrive & Check-In Begins 11:00pm/12:00am - Guests & Volunteers Depart Location: Rosen Shingle Creek 9939 Universal Boulevard Parking: Complimentary parking passes Dress: Please wear Western attire (jeans, cowboy boots & hats, etc). All volunteers will be issued official, long sleeved event shirts. Wear shoes you are comfortable working or standing in! Food/Dinner: Meals will be provided. Food, snacks and beverages (non-alcoholic) will be provided for all volunteers.

EVENT & AUCTION SETUP Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the 2023 Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball! Volunteers must attend virtual volunteer training - Time TBD Each position will have a specific Volunteer Captain (ACS Staff) assigned to assist with questions/issues. If you are feeling unwell in the days leading up to the Orlando Cattle Baron’s Ball, we discourage you from volunteering for this indoor event. Must come ready to have a great time for a great cause!!! Shift 1 - 10am to 2pm on Saturday September 9 This shift will mainly be helping with setting up the silent auction tables, placing centerpieces, signs, etc. Shift 2 - 1pm to 5pm on Saturday September 9 This shift will help finish setting up the ballroom and auction area. Chef’s may require assistance, centerpieces may need to be finished up and signage placed.

DIRECTIONAL VOLUNTEERS 6 volunteers inside the ballroom with a seating chart and alpha-sorted seating list to assist guests to their tables. After guests are seated, all volunteers in this group will be Spotters. LIVE AUCTION SPOTTERS Spotters are a very vital role! Spotters will stand throughout the ballroom and draw attention to the bidders raising their numbers (of guests bidding on the live auction) and ensure the auctioneer sees the bidders and calls out that number. MISSION MOMENT SPOTTERS Spotters are a very vital role! Spotters will stand throughout the ballroom and draw attention to the bidders raising their numbers (of guests bidding on donating to the Mission Moment) and ensure the auctioneer sees the bidders and calls out that number. ***Please Note: Live Auction Spotters and Mission Moment Spotters are a duel role!*** KEY QUALITIES: This position will require standing and keen attention to detail. If you are comfortable utilizing good eye-sight in dim lighting, this is the position for you!
