The mission of the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation is to find a cure for diabetes and its comlpications through the support of research.

Description

JDRF is the world's leading nonprofit, nongovernmental funder of diabetes research and was founded in 1970 by the parents of children with juvenile diabetes. In FY2001, JDRF allocated 87 cents of every dollar directly to research and education about research. Only 7 cents of every dollar went to fundraising and 6 cents to administration costs.
