Adopt A Nursing Home promotes community volunteer involvement in long-term care facilities to enrich resident's lives.

Description

Commit to help with resident activities at least four times a year. Activities range from simply visiting with residents to organizing parties or outings. Helps break cycle of loneliness. On average, 50 % of Texas nursing facility residents don't have families or a surviving spouse, and about 60 % have no regular visitors.
