Mission Statement

To support and promote the use of volunteers enhance the services which the City of Santa Cruz is able to provide to our community.

Description

CitySERVE began in 1994 as a partnership between the Volunteer Centers of Santa Cruz County and the City of Santa Cruz. CitySERVE functions primarily as a matchmaker, matching interested community members to volunteer needs throughout City government. The City of Santa Cruz has several ongoing volunteer programs such as Adopt a Block Graffiti Removal Program, Downtown Seniors Computer Instructors, summer Jr. Volunteers, Civic Event Hosts, Teen Center Allies, Museum of Natural History volunteers, and the Beach Flats Community Center Tutor Program. The City of Santa Cruz also places people in individual volunteer placements throughout the City and has an excellent internship program.
