Our Mission is to enhance the quality of life for Washington Park, FL and Hollywood,Fl by advancing and strengthening the economic, health, civic and social interests while improving community pride and promoting active participation by all citizens.
CEC is a nonprofit community-based agency providing a wide range of services to all ages. CEC program offers a full range of high-quality community programs, events, social services, personal care, and volunteer services, all tailored to meet our client's needs.
We are governed by a volunteer Board of Directors of seven. CEC works in collaboration with other providers in the region and its commitment to high-quality care and service excellence has been recognized through various awards including receiving a thank you letter from President Barack Obama.
We are committed to listening and responding to the needs of our residents and community partners. We are dedicated to address an individual’s needs and concerns, and to improve our servicesto the community.
CEC services has helped over 7‚500 children and their families through outreach programs each year.
Description
We are a unique group of grass roots leaders that share a passion for making positive changes within the City of Hollywood. The strength of our community is our residents, volunteers and community partners. We are committed to providing outstanding programs and events for our community and have been recognized as being one of the number one providers of successful neighborhood programs in our area.
CEC was established in 2004 by Nadine McCrea. The Community Enhancement Collaboration, Inc. (CEC) has been a premier community based organization. Over the years, the organization has expanded its outreach to include youth, seniors, partners and most importantly, faith-based leaders. The CEC has also expanded its reach as it has grown to not only serve the Washington Park area but Greater Hollywood as well. We are a community- based organization working for the well-being of the community. We are dedicated to securing the community by encouraging economic growth through the shared strength of organizations and individuals.
We work to provide additional ability to our youth and seniors by providing greater resources, allowing each to fulfill each others needs. No other partnership in the Washington Park area brings together as many groups of dedicated people to serve the needs of the community. We offer many opportunities for members to participate in educational activities and special events year round.
We work to meet individuals at their specific points of need. The CEC helps neighbors, block by block. The CEC has played an integral role in improving the quality of life of the Washington Park community and Greater Hollywood. We are a unique group of leaders who live, work and play in our area of service.
