Mission Statement

We are a nonprofit community empowerment organization that advocates for socially disadvantaged people and communities. We work to enhance the holistic (physical, mental, spiritual, and economic) wellbeing of disadvantaged people by ensuring they receive needed and effective services; we do this by providing program evaluation and organizational development services to those working with and/or for them, which is accomplished collaboratively to achieve true and lasting change.

Description

The HELP Institute, Inc. is a nonprofit community empowerment organization that seeks to mend the gap of health and economic disparities between communities. We do this by assisting and building the capacity of organizations working with or for disadvantaged communities. We provide program evaluation and organizational development services, helping organizations to provide effective services and programming to their communities. We are values-based and adopt a culturally responsive and collaborative philosophy. Our goal is to offer free program evaluation and organizational development services to government and nonprofit agencies in strategically targeted socially disadvantaged communities (based on socioeconomic status, physical health, and behavioral health). In applying a capacity building and participant oriented approach, we strive to bring together those entities and community members to tackle problems and empower themselves.
