Youth Encouragement Services provides a safe, nurturing, structured, home-like environment for children. Professional, dedicated and committed staff encourage residents to recognize who they are, what they are capable of, and to begin a journey toward becoming independent, productive, caring adults.

Description

The YES Home is a residential group home for youth ages 6 thru 18, providing a structured, nurturing environment for abused, neglected and abandoned children. Residents participate in learning daily living skills, goal setting, conflict resolution, daily chores and community service projects.

The YES Home prides itself in keeping our clients in their home schools, a daily study hour with a local teacher provides residents with an opportunity to improve study skills and improve academic achievement. Residents are also encouraged to become active in school activities and community.

The YES Home encourages re-establishment of children to a loving secure family. We work with Case Managers from several intensive Family organizations to assist in a successful reunification.

The YES Home is a not-for-profit organization for both long term and emergency care. The YES Home is housed in a historic building once known as The Poor Farm and is listed in the National Historic Landmark Registry.
