Mission Statement

To provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills, and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community."

Description

We know there are thousands of charitable events out there, so Special Olympics is offering a unique event that stands high above the rest. Over the Edge is an opportunity to push the limits, experience something you'll never forget, take your partnership to new heights.

Over the Edge is an event geared toward the fearless or those looking to overcome their fears. Raising money to send someone "over the edge" (or keep them from it) will build teamwork, and groups that are brave enough to go over the edge themselves will build trust. Creating competition is a healthy and fun way to enhance your work community, so get your co-workers together and go Over the Edge for Special Olympics Missouri!
