Mission Statement

The mission of The Medical Foundations Information and Referral Services is to improve the safety, health and well being of individuals, families, and communities by improving access to substance abuse treatment and other prevention, education, recovery, health and social service resources.

Description

Interest in or relevant experience in human services, alcohol or substance abuse services. Must have an openness to information that may be different from personal views. Willingness to work with callers, who may be ambivalent, resistant, impaired or has psychological disorders. Must be open to a variety of treatment services based on callersâ needs. Must be respectful of cultural differences. Must have high ethical standard and a willingness to comply with professional expectations. This position requires the ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Previous experience with computer for data recording and database searching. Demonstrated history of dependability needed. Training in addiction, screening, interviewing, pharmacology, treatment services and resource is provided.
