The Los Angeles County Department of Consumer Affairs counsels, investigates and mediates consumer complaints resulting from transactions in the marketplace. It also conducts special investigations and makes referrals to law enforcement or regulatory agencies when appropriate.
Would definitely not recommend this organization. The organization is non responsive to inquiries. The lack of response/communication is not conducive to an organization that is geared to reaching out/helping the community. I suggest volunteers share their time elsewhere.
DCA is a one stop shop to consumer protection. If you are a consumer affairs major or are studing law, you will find this agency has "hands on" expierience that will help you to grasp the knowledge you need to succeed.
