The Lupus Foundation of America, Wisconsin Chapter, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit charitable organization that strives to support individuals and families affected by lupus, increase awareness; and to support research efforts which improve diagnosis and treatment, and ultimately find the cause and cure of lupus.
We provide educational materials, support group meetings statewide and information on our website for lupus patients and their families, plus medical professionals. We provide newsletters, take part in health fairs, sponsor an annual Lupus Medical Symposium to heighten awareness of lupus.
We have funded local research through the Medical College of Wisconsin and at UW-Madison. Research is also funded at the national level through our national office, the Lupus Foundation of America.
