Mission Statement

Empowering the invisible populations of Orange County. We say "Yes!" when everyone else says "No."

Description

From 2004-2010, GHH evolved from an emergency shelter with 10 beds specializing in recovery and addiction, to a 24-month, transitional housing program, providing supportive services with a goal of self-sufficiency and permanent housing. The program now offers case management, group/individual counseling, meals, and workforce development.

In addition, they are provided with medical assessment referrals, basic job search and training assistance, wardrobe assistance, daily meals, and a place to live that is stable and safe. GHH welcomes hard to place cases. For example, this includes women fighting breast cancer, victims of human trafficking, and women struggling with mental illness such as dual-diagnosis. GHH also offers the Nana's Kidz Program to serve over 300,000 meals annually to 345 children living in motels.

GHH has recently added Hope Works! which offers workforce development services for participation in the Transitional Housing Program, as well as their motel family outreach program, Nana's Kidz. These integrated programs strive to create a sense of community, belonging and stability.

The ladies I met in charge of the program were very sweet and the program was very organized. When I volunteered, it was just stuffing envelopes but they made it a wonderful experience.
