Mission Statement

Friends of the Raymond Theatre is a project of Spirit of the Sage Council under the non-profit organization SEE, Inc. Our mission is to help protect, preserve and assist in revitalization of Pasadena's Historic Raymond Theatre

Description

The Raymond Theatre is located in Pasadena, California and is a registered National Historic Landmark. It was built in 1921 and has served as a vaudeville house, movie theater and most recently as a concert venue. For the past 16 years it has been under threat of redevelopment. Friends of the Raymond has kept The Raymond Theatre standing despite numerous proposed developments. We are currently in our final year of work (2004) to help protect and preserve this important cultural and historic landmark. We hope you will consider volunteering your time to help.
