Reasnor Fire Department is dedicated to protecting life, property, and the environment in the vicinity of the city of Reasnor Iowa by providing fire suppression and medical ambulance services. The Reasnor Fire Department takes great pride in helping family, friends, and neighbors within the community in their greatest time of need.
Any person residing in the city of Reasnor, Palo Alt Township, Elk Creek Township, Fairview Township, and Buena Vista Township within Jasper County, Iowa who is of sound mind and body and is at least eighteen (18) years of age, shall be eligible to serve as a firefighter in the Department. We are in need of anyone willing to offer there time to help a neighbor or even a stranger. We are willing to take anyone willing to offer reliable passionate service. You don't have to go into burning buildings and you don't have to get into the blood and guts if you don't want too. Sometimes we only need a driver or a pump operator so any help is greatly appreciated.
Respond to calls for service for the fire department. Provide emergency care or support at the scene of an accident or injury. Answer fire/rescue calls and extinguish fires and performs tasks involved in cleaning and maintaining fire and EMS equipment, apparatus and buildings. Complete administrative work as required and assigned. Performs work at the direction of the Fire Chief and other officers.
