Description
The Centralia Humane Society House of Hope is a no-kill not-for -profit organization dedicated to animal protection and the prevention of cruelty and neglect. By virtue of donations, fundraisers, memorials and membership dues, our volunteer-based organization strives to re-home the needy, unwanted or injured animals in Marion County, Illinois. In addition to investigating cruelty and abuse cases, we attempt to help those persons that would like to adopt a pet and give the animal a loving home.
It is our goal to educate the public and to encourage law enforcement personnet to enforce the laws and city ordinances designed to curb back-yardbreeding, abuse and neglect. The Centralia Humane Society encourages the citizens of Marion County and surrounding areas to alert their elected officials and law enforcement agencies of abusive and neglectful situations in which animals in our community live. Abusing animals and allowing them to needlessly breed is in violation of city ordinances and state law.
