Mission Statement

The mission of the Center is to inspire and engage adults and children by celebrating Michigan women's history, promoting educational opportunities, and honoring the accomplishments of Michigan women.

Description

The Center opened June 10, 1987, making Michigan the first state with a museum solely dedicated to the history of women. Visitors come to the Center to explore the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame--with more than 250 inductees; to learn from our special history exhibits; to enjoy our art gallery featuring the work of Michigan women artists; and to participate in one of our many events.
