Mission Statement

Founded in 1975, the mission of Facets Multi-media, Inc. is to present film and video programs of significant artistic merit which would otherwise not be seen, including retrospectives, premieres, seminars, and classes, and to offer a broad spectrum of cultural and organizational programs for children. The mission of the Chicago International Children's Film Festival is to 1)Involve children directly in global culture 2) Help children become active, self-motivated participants in their own communities;3) Stimulate an interest in life-long learning, and critical thinking;4) Encourage the international production of outstanding, non-violent films and videos for children.

Description

The Chicago International Children's Film Festival (CICFF) is the largest festival of films for children in North America and features over 250 animated and live action films from 40 countries. The Festival welcomes over 20,000 Chicago area children, adults, and educators to the screenings, and over 100 filmmakers, media professionals & celebrities attend the Festival to lead interactive workshops with kids. 2002 Festival Dates: October 24-November 3
