Catholic Charities, Inc., the Wichita-based social service agency operated by the Catholic Diocese of Wichita, meets community needs in South Central Kansas by providing tools to change lives. Established in 1943, the organization, one of a network of Catholic social service agencies in the country, touches the lives of individuals and their families each year through 14 critical social service programs-- shelters and case management for abused women and their children and homeless families, emergency assistance, adult day care, counseling, enrichment and service programs for senior citizens, crisis pregnancy and adoption services, immigration services and refugee resettlement, adult education, interpreter services, and enrichement and service programs for prisoners. Catholic Charities serves persons every faith, personal belief, race, age, nationality and ability.
