Mission Statement

Our mission is to make a contribution for the development towards the Nepalese System of Education with new ideas, and new methods through volunteers from around the world. The theme of this programme is to help Nepali children to learn more efficiently by providing volunteer teachers from abroad.

Description

The Everest Volunteers is a registered Non governmental organization, that provides placement for international volunteers in Nepalese schools and social organizations. This organization is based in Kathmandu, Nepal. The volunteers are given an introductory course, which includes basic Nepalese language, audio-visual of school placements and teaching, guided tours of historic sites, lectures on Nepalese culture and advice on teaching. It was set up in the purpose of help bringing some contribution in Nepali education system. The Everest Volunteers has already placed some volunteers mainly from the UK. The placements are situated both rural and urban areas of Nepal. The Introduction programme is lunched every first week of the month. We run the programme whole year
