Mission Statement

Since 1990 OUTMUSIC - THE LGBT Academy of Recording Arts (The LARA) has been the premiere 501c3 non-profit organization created
to empower, celebrate and honor openly-LGBT (lesbian, gay bi-sexual and transgender) recording artist and performers.

The LARA is an alliance of openly LGBT recording artists, musicians, composers, producers, performers and supporters who are dedicated to the movement for equality in the music industry. The LARA exist to raise awareness and ensure our contributions to music history are acknowledged, documented, celebrated and archived.

Each year, The LARA in conjunction with the OUTMUSIC Foundation present the OUTMUSIC Awards

Description

To support the production of the OUTMUSIC Awards we need the following:

21 Production Assistants

5 PAs for Camera Crew

4 PAs for Stage Crew (Assist Stage & Production Manager)

4 PAs for Front of House (front door admissions)

4 PAs for Red Carpet Production (assemble step & repeat roll out Red Carpet)

4 PAs (Set up chairs & prepare gift bags)

We are also looking for an experienced Stage Manager

As a person who is trans-female identified, I believe that it is important to support our local artists. I have read about this event and even tried to volunteer, but was pulled due to other conflicts in my life.
