Mission Statement

Responding to the ever-widening divide in technology access and computer literacy in undeserved areas of Oakland, OCCUR established two community technology centers: The Eastmont Technology Center, home of the Eastmont Intel Computer Clubhouse, and Lion Creek Crossings Technology Learning Center.

Description

The Eastmont Technology Center was established by OCCUR in 1997 and provides free computer classes for adults in English and Spanish, and a free technology based after-school program for youth ages 10-18. ETC receives more than 300 users each week and is nationally recognized as a Community Technology Center (CTC)
