Mission Statement

At Compassionate Care Hospice, our mission is to affirm life in the final stages by providing holistic, compassionate care to patients and their families; by providing access hospice care for underserved or difficult to serve populations; by wise and efficient use of available resources, and by educating the community in order to provide them with knowledge regarding end-of-life and hospice care around quality of life.

Description

Founded in 1993, Compassionate Care Hospice is a community based organization committed to providing the highest quality of end-of-life care to patients and their families. We take care of seriously ill patients with a goal of maximizing quality of life.With the help of our services, most patients are able to remain in the comfort and privacy of their own homes, but we do also care for patients in nursing homes and other facilities.The hospice team includes nurses, physicians, social workers, counselors, chaplains, home health aides, and trained volunteers to help patients and their families live as fully and as comfortably as possible.

I have always volunteered over my high school years at Still Hopes, but now I would like to further my volunteer skills into something more serious.
