Description
At Hospice Care of Kansas we embrace our patients and their loved ones with quality care, comfort, support and compassion, at a time when they need it most. Our dedicated staff and volunteers make this happen! There are no limits to the things that a hospice volunteer can do--from crocheting with a patient to helping in the office to building a wheelchair ramp for someone who needs it to singing or talking or baking or to just be present with them--it all matters and it's all necessary! You don't need any special talents, just a desire to reach out and care for others.
"I give my patients the one gift they want--time. Time to chat, read, crochet, write letters, gossip, reminisce, complain, share or just touch. I come in friendship to do exactly what they want." ~Words from a hospice volunteer
By giving of yourself and your time, you can have a rewarding experience and make a difference in the life of someone who lives in your community.
