The Center for World Indigenous Studies mission is to advance traditional knowledge through the practical
application of this knowledge to challenges facing Indigenous Peoples.

CWIS has more than 1 million users annually. CWIS serves indigenous peoples in Canada (Nuxalk, Wuikinuxv, Stolo, Cree), US (Quinault, Lummi,
Salish-Kootenai, Yakama, Siletz, Lower Elway, Cayuse, etc) and Mexico (Cora, Purepeche, Mixe) as well
as Nigeria (Igbo, Ijaw, Ogoni), and indigenous nations in Uganda, Ghana, the Philippines, Taiwan,
Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Russia and Europe.
