Description
The Southern California Coalition for Occupational Safety and Health (SoCalCOSH), a project comprised of students, union health & safety representatives, advocates, union members, labor attorneys, workers and community members works to raise awareness of the need for safe and healthy jobs through worker empowerment and collective policy advocacy action.
We have successfully organized low-wage workers and their communities to address hazardous working conditions through workers’ rights training, leadership development, and use of the Cal/OSHA complaint process. We seek to expand the impact of our coalition by attracting new partners in support of stronger worker health and safety protections.
