Mission Statement
Ocean Conservation Research is focused on understanding the scope of, and exploring solutions to the growing problem of human generated ocean noise pollution and its impact on marine animals.
We promote and support marine biological and technological research based on conservation priorities. We use the products of this research to inform the policies and practice of the public, industry, and lawmakers so that we may all become better stewards of the sea.
Description
Much of the work we do involves research through literature review, mathtematical modeling, and technology deveopment to drive our understanding about how marine animals respond to anthropogenic noise. We educate the public, goverment agencies, academiics, and lawmakers about the impacts of noise on marine habitats.
We are expanding our outreach into various internet-based tools including interactive websites, blogs, mobil interacive tools, and "social networking."
