Mission Statement

The mission of GEAR UP is to significantly increase the number of low-income students who are prepared to enter and succeed in postsecondary education.

Description

The GEAR UP Partnership is a federal grant given to Southeastern Oklahoma State University. The program covers 1852 students in 17 schools across Bryan, Choctaw and McCurtain counties. The program utilizes other national programs such as the HOSTS, (Help One Student To Succeed) mentoring program and OHLAP (Oklahoma Higher Learning Access Program) allows college scholarships to Oklahoma Students.
