Hello. I’m a volunteer for Compassus almost a year from now. I’m so glad I found this place. I learned a lot through my volunteering. I’m so glad, I’m able to provide some help for elderly people. It not hard to give your 30 minuets per week or more for our community. I have a feeling that I’m doing something good and it makes me happy. Thank you Compassus team for creating a volunteer positions for us

If you are looking for a meaningful volunteer experience, you should volunteer with Compassus Hospice. Volunteering with Compassus has given me the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of many patients. You can really see the impact you have on patients and their families and you get to build meaningful connections with patients. The volunteer coordinator and the rest of the Compassus staff are extremely helpful and kind and they value you immensely as a volunteer and a person. There is a great sense of community within Compassus and everyone is extremely respectful and caring to one another. Volunteering is also based on your schedule so the timings are very flexible. I would definitely recommend volunteering here to everyone. Volunteering with Compassus will better the lives of many patients as well as of your own!

Volunteering with Hospice Compassus is such an amazing experience. You are supported the entire way through the training process and while volunteering with patients. The staff are incredible and help you become comfortable with the training experience. Going beyond the amazing staff and the training experience, volunteering in this capacity leaves you as a changed person, for the better. It's also super easy to volunteer, and fits right in with your schedule! You get to determine how often you volunteer, what days you volunteer, and what times. Volunteering with Hospice Compassus and with the patients alters your perspective about life, in a good way. It has changed me as a person, and I will continue to keep volunteering!

Compassus Hospice is one of a kind. From my first interactions with Compassus staff, I knew that volunteering with them would be a life-changing experience. Compassus volunteers not only gain the experience of spreading kindness and compassion to patients during their final days, but also they also learn what it means to truly care about people. I strongly recommend volunteering with Compassus Hospice to anyone who wants a unique and meaningful experience that they will always be able to carry with them.

Volunteering with Hospice Compassus for the last 5 years has brought newfound meaning into my life. The time I spend with each patient varies, but every visit is always so full of love. I’ve developed better listening skills, an understanding and acceptance of my patients own feelings regarding death, as well as a strong comfort and support level. I have never felt under appreciated by my patients or their loved ones in addition to the Hospice Compassus staff, specifically my volunteer coordinator, Bill. I truly cherish the time spent with my patients and overtime they have become family.
