Description

Founded in 1993, with the vision of providing a vehicle for female solo artists and their original works, the Los Angeles Women's Theatre Festival (LAWTF) empowers women artists to engage and inspire communities through the production of multicultural and multidisciplinary solo performances and educational outreach programming. The Festival celebrates and reflects the diversity of women’s voices while focusing on the oneness of women’s experiences, and each year, honors the achievements of extraordinary women in theatre. LAWTF also offers educational outreach programming for at-risk youth, ex-offender adults, senior citizens and the performance art community using art to creatively develop one’s voice through self-expression. We have several volunteer opportunities available in the area of Finance/Fundraising, Marketing/PR, Festival Programming/Production, and Office Administration including Website, Database Management, and Graphic Design, all of which assist LAWTF in actualizing the mission of the organization.
