Mission Statement

"Working together to help keep our children safe"

Description

Child Watch was formed in 1992, with the primary focus to work with parents and children in helping to prevent abductions through the distribution of the Kidguard Safety Program. This program includes photo identification cards complete with the child's vital information. Even the child's fingerprints are included on the card that is to be carried by the parents in the event it is ever needed. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children has stated that a current photo is the SINGLE MOST important tool in the recovery of a missing child. The program also includes safety rules for the families to review together, rules that educate children on how to recognize and react to dangerous situations and stay safe! In addition to the Kidguard Safety Program, Child Watch also distributes pictures of missing children and works with law enforcement agencies all over the country. Child Watch Investigations follows up on leads called in to our 24 hour toll free hotline. We have also created Abduction Response Teams and an "Alert" System capable of sending information all over the United States to assist whenever a child is missing or endangered. Nearly all of the services offered by Child Watch are provided free of charge. Since Child Watch started offering free investigative services in 1994, we are proud to say, we have recovered over 160 abducted children!

Child Watch has the primary focus to work with parents and children in helping to prevent abductions. Don Wood the founder and his team are doing a great job. They really are very very responsible people of our society, which I grant my highest respect. We need safety rules around our children, that educate them on how to recognize and react to dangerous situations and stay safe! They also distribute pictures of missing children and work with law enforcement agencies all over the country. Child Watch of North America, you have my sympathy.
