Devereux Georgia is a behavioral healthcare provider located just north of Atlanta in a beautiful, therapeutic setting. We offer the unique ability to treat difficult behaviors and/or emotional issues for children, adolescents and young adults. By offering integrated rehabilitative and psychiatric care, Devereux is able to stabilize and treat psychiatric challenges, help the family cope with their child's illness and address severe behavior management challenges.

Since 1973, the Devereux Georgia Treatment Network (DGTN) has been committed to positively impacting the lives of the children, adolescents and young adults in our care. We serve clients up to the age of 21 who are experiencing behavioral changes brought on by abuse, neglect or mental illness.
Devereux Georgia combines therapeutic and educational programs designed to support the needs of children, adolescents and young adults with emotional and behavioral challenges. The Residential Treatment program offers troubled youth individualized programs based on their diagnosis, strengths and interests. Our treatment intervention continuum ranges from secure intensive units to open residential treatment.
Our clients benefit from the positive therapeutic approach and multidisciplinary curriculum delivered by our professional staff. The staff identifies the individual needs of each resident during the admissions process and focuses treatment and related services to meet those needs. Residents develop the competency and confidence to achieve one-unthinkable goals such as graduating from high school and learning basic job readiness skills.
In addition to Devereux Georgia's treatment program, we also provide a quality education through our SACS-accredited school, the Devereux Ackerman Academy. Devereux Georgia was the first psychiatric treatment facility in the state to operate an accredited school. We are also involved with the Speciality Foster Care (SFC) program - a community-based, client-focused and family-centered program to meet the special needs of both the youth and the families served. Project P.L.U.S. is another of Devereux's many programs - which serves males between the ages of 17 and 22. These young adults are supported in community-based housing and are given very individualized program goals, skills assessment and related support services to move them toward sustainable independent living.
