Description

Hospice of Houston County, Inc. is a non-profit, United Way agency providing services to patients in 10 counties in Central Georgia. We provide support in many different ways to our patients and their families. Some of these ways are: Bereavement support groups and family therapy led by our Social Workers; Camp Wings, for children who are suffering from grief; Medical support to the patient supplied by our Medical Director, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Certified Nurse's Assistants; Spiritual support offered by our Chaplains; and Volunteer services. We rely heavily upon volunteer support so that we may give the best possible care to our patients, and then later, to their families to help them through the grieving process. Volunteers are involved in many ways, including patient care and contact, office support and assistance, outdoor work at patients homes, help at Camp Wings, and fundraising committees.
