Mission Statement

Save More Dogs!

You can help save more dogs! Our group rescues primarily Labrador Retrievers and mixes, but we always have a handful of non-Lab dogs available too. We have been rescuing privately for almost 15 years now, in conjunction with our boarding and training facility. And we started formally as a group in late summer 2010 -- so we are fairly new as a true non-profit organization.

We are looking for some great volunteers to help with our grassroots effort. We are starting from scratch, although we do have a lot of experience with dogs, rescue and operating our business. We are looking for folks that want to join us in everything from developing the organization to the physical side of caring for and playing with the dogs in our rescue.

We recently won a $50,000 grant from Pepsi in an online contest (http://www.refresheverything.com/lifeislabs) and we will be building a new facility. We have an active network of supporters nationwide, but we desperately need local help to support and join us in the effort to save more dogs.

We rescue dogs from local high kill shelters, occasionally from shelters or situations out of the area and from owners who find themselves in dire straits for one reason or another. We evaluate their health, behavior, temperament and training. We work with them while they are in our care to make sure each of they are highly adoptable and hope to place each one in loving, forever homes.

Our new facility is planned as a "full service" rescue. It will be a showcase for our dogs for adoption, but it will also include boarding, grooming, training and other activities -- each of which will support our rescue efforts.

We're very excited for our future and we hope you'll join us if you want to save more dogs as much as we do!
